“The new website is very important to the council, as it represents the first step in a long process of changing the way customers access our services. The CASH team have completed their role with regards to the content, and we’re now ready for the next step of thoroughly testing all pages before we launch the site in two weeks. With that in mind, I’d like to ask for your assistance… The CASH team have devised a number of exercise sheets to test every area within the site.  The exercises won’t relate to your particular area (as teams have already done this) but a review of the site from a customer perspective. Could I ask you to spend an hour of your time to complete these testing exercises to help us achieve a successful launch of this essential communications tool.”

Within this form, we are asking you to test the new website as both a customer and a council employee.  There are six areas relating to the Bins and Recycling web pages, and one area aimed specifically at your service. 

Each question will help us establish whether or not we have produced an intuitive and customer focused website.  We would appreciate your full honesty in your responses to these answers, as we are hoping to make changes to any areas which need urgent attention such as broken links or content which is difficult to locate, before we launch the site during the week commencing 11th December 2017.  

The form will be formatted in the following structure:

  • Your information:  Please note, you can remain anonymous for this exercise.   However, if you provide feedback that you believe some areas need fixing, it would make it much easier if we could contact you to discuss your comments in person.  
  • Questions 1 - 6:  These questions will ask you to read a different area to your own, to establish the location of series of facts relating to the services we provide.  There will then be further questions to establish how you found the journey of locating this information and the quality of the content.
  • Question 7:  This question relates to your whole area.  This will be your opportunity to provide honest feedback on the content of your service area.
  • Your web use: These questions will help us understand your online aptitude.
