Richmondshire District Council

The council is currently reviewing its housing need evidence to inform the revision of the housing policies in its Local Development Plan – for the towns and villages outside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

As part of this process, the council is undertaking a survey of households living and working, or with close family connections, in Richmondshire to assess the demand for homes to be sold at a discount below the market value or other discounted routes to home ownership.

This survey will enable us to understand the price people can afford to pay for a home in Richmondshire, the level of demand for these types of home ownership, and the types and locations of homes desired.

The home ownership survey is now available to complete.

The closing date is 15 July 2019.

Once the responses have been received, these will help to inform the preparation of the housing policies that will be published as part of the preferred options consultation in Autumn 2019 for further comment.
