Richmondshire District Council has today introduced opening restrictions at its offices to safeguard both customers and officers from the threat of coronavirus.
The Council remains open for business by telephone or through its website but face to face access to council officers at Mercury House or its Community Offices will be by appointment only - and only if the assistance cannot be provided by phone or through the website.
Any customers wishing to make cash payments should visit the Mercury House office in Richmond where the cash payments machine is located - but customers are urged to make payments over the phone or by electronic means.
Collection of new purple sacks will be possible by appointment from the Council’s offices at Mercury House, Hudson House in Reeth and the Upper Wensleydale Community Office in Hawes.
All customer enquiries and payments can be made via our website or by calling 01748 829100.
- The council’s Leyburn office – located within the community run library buildings – has been closed until further notice
