Free business masterclasses
Masterclasses to help businesses bounce back from the effects of the pandemic are on the menu next month as part of the Business in Richmondshire initiative.
The District Council project aims to support local businesses to grow and invest, and help new start ups come to the district. It provides information on funding opportunities, training and business support as well as hosting events including the annual Business Week.
This latest support package, which kicks off next month (September 15), offers free masterclasses to enterprises across the district. And they are being delivered online – direct into homes and offices.
There are three programmes:
- Growth – for businesses trading for over a year looking to bounce back from the effects of Covid and Brexit
- Start-up – for businesses less than a year old and looking to move forward
- Pre-start – for anyone thinking about setting up a business but doesn’t know where to start
Most of the classes run over four to six weeks, except for the start up where an intensive weekend package is on offer.
“This new programme offers some creative packages of help for our district’s businesses,” said Council Leader, Councillor Angie Dale.
“Our last business survey revealed that advice and help was needed in these areas and we are pleased we can deliver on this. The effects of the pandemic will be with us for some time so we want to help in any way we can.”
The masterclasses are being delivered on behalf of the council by Digital Remit, an Oxford based company that helps companies build brand strategies, marketing plans, sales narratives and digital footprints.
