A scheme that has helped more than 490 local community groups over the last nine years has another £50,000 in its funding pot.
Richmondshire District Council’s five Area Partnerships will each receive £10,000 to award to local projects. The authority’s Corporate Board has agreed to continue to support the partnership grants – which have helped secure around £1.6m in funding for the district.
The grants have been awarded to parish councils, community and sports groups for everything from large equipment purchases to smaller community noticeboards.
The scheme has allocated £305,856 over the last nine years which has helped 493 projects. The maximum amount allocated to any one group is £1000.
