Tourism accommodation businesses across Richmondshire are being urged to take part in a survey to gain better quality tourism data on a local level.
Welcome to Yorkshire have chosen Richmondshire to pilot the survey. The survey has been designed by Sheffield Hallam University and Richmondshire District Council to be less time consuming and easy to use to enable accommodation providers to submit information even at their busiest times of the year.
“With the value of tourism to Yorkshire rising to an estimated at £9 billion, it has never been more important for us to understand our visitors- where they stay, for how long and in what type of accommodation” said Sue White, Business and Community Manager. “The more businesses that join in the better the quality of the data will be and the more detail that can be fed into any future tourism activity in Richmondshire”.
