Honorary titles awarded to seven Richmondshire Councillors

Seven Richmondshire District Councillors with a combined services of 189 years were awarded honorary status this week.

At the last meeting of the authority’s Full Council they were made honorary aldermen and alderwomen by their colleagues. The honour is bestowed in recognition of the length of service given on behalf of the council and the community.

Awards went to:

Councillors Parsons, Dawson, World, Peacock, Middlemiss, Grant and Cullen with Council Chairman Lorraine Hodgson after receiving the awards.
