Local businesses have just days left to apply for funding from a District Council cash pot!
July 1 is the final deadline for bids into the Richmondshire small business grant scheme – which has already awarded £20,000 and has £14,000 left to allocate.
Applications are also being taken for the next round of funding for apprentices. The council has £30,000 to support 15 businesses looking to take on an apprentice.
The small business grant scheme – which is aimed at supporting the growth of small and micro businesses - has helped 25 businesses to help with improvements to websites, equipment purchases and staff training. Businesses must be located within Richmondshire, have fewer than four full time equivalent employees and less than £25,000 in reserves.
Under the apprenticeship support scheme apprenticeships of all levels from level one NVQ to level five managerial can be considered with up to £2000 available per business for equipment costs or additional training. The grant can also support the 10% contribution towards the degree – but it cannot support wages or travel costs to/from work placement or the education site.
Application forms for both schemes can be found on richmondshire.gov.uk or by contacting Sam Coultish on 01748 901038
