Brexit will be covered at Richmondshire’s first ever business week this month – to offer advice as local companies prepare for October 31.
The District Council run business week is aimed at both established companies and start-ups with a series of free workshops on offer to help support and grow them.
The week – which will be launched at Tennants in Leyburn on October 7 - will cover everything from the identification of new market and public sector supply chain opportunities, compliance and cyber security to how to attract and retain talent.
And the ‘How to Grow your International Business’ Workshop on October 10 at Richmondshire Cricket Club will include a Brexit slot to help businesses come up with an action plan and signpost them to help and advice in preparation for leaving the EU on October 31.
Two days earlier – on October 8 – the ‘How to Contract Successfully’ workshop at the Holiday Inn Scotch Corner, will now include details of an exciting new supply chain project. As a legacy of Green Port Business Support, funding has been secured for the Supply Chain Network. This will involve helping businesses identify and access opportunities in the region's key supply chains while supporting local business growth for the economic development of our area. The team will be available for more information at the workshop.
