Eligibility for the bond bank scheme
In some cases, we may be able to help you financially with a bond payment to prevent homelessness.
Under this scheme, we pay a one-off bond payment to secure private accommodation. Strict criteria apply and both the application form and income and expenditure form need to be completed.
To be eligible for consideration applicants must comply with all of the following:
- Be under threat of homelessness
- Have an established local connection with Richmondshire
- Be in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:
- Housing benefit
- Working tax credit or child tax credit
- Income support
- Job seekers allowance
- Universal credit
