Richmondshire District Council

Late Payments If you don't pay an instalment by the due date, you may have to pay the rest of the year's council tax in one amount, plus costs.

You should make payments as shown on your bill. You can make fewer payments than stated but you must make sure you pay in advance of the instalments due. For example, half-yearly payments will be accepted if the first five instalments are paid on or before 1 April and the remaining five on or before 1 September.

You can also pay in full on or before the date of the first instalment shown on your bill.

And you can now choose to spread your payments over 12 months instead of ten. Contact us before 15 April so that we can send you a new bill in time.
