The Waste and Street Scene department require enthusiastic and committed street cleansing operative to join our hardworking and enthusiastic team. We are currently looking for a permanent member of staff.
Our staff undertake duties across the breadth of the Richmondshire District including the Yorkshire Dales.
Duties will involve driving the mini sweeper, litter picking duties, the collection of litter and dog bins and cleansing of public toilets. We aim to provide the best possible service to our residents, therefore it will be necessary to have a good understanding of the importance of a high level of customer care.
You will be required to undertake heavy workloads, be physically fit, with the ability to operate with the minimum of supervision either independently or as a member of a team and be able to work on your own initiative. A full uniform will be provided.
We can offer you a standard working pattern of 6.30 am to 4.30 pm over a 4-day working week, however, we do ask that you have a flexible approach to working hours with occasional out of hours and weekend work being necessary. Optional overtime is available on a regular basis. We also offer a generous annual leave and pension scheme.
