Qualifications

 

a. Care related NVQ2. (A, I)

b. National Wardens Certificate. (A, I)

                    

Experience

1. Experience of working within a care related environment. (A, I)

2. Experience of using a computer/IT literate. (A, I)

c. Experience of supervising up to two people. (A, I)

Knowledge

 

d. Basic knowledge of building maintenance. (A, I)

Personal aptitudes and skills

3. The ability to maintain confidential files. (I)

4. Must be numerate and literate. (A, I)

5. Must be able to communicate effectively on a one-to-one basis and with groups of people. (I)

6. Able to accurately record details of incidents involving residents. (A, I)

7. Must be able to follow set procedures relating to the use, and testing, of scheme-based equipment, e.g., warden call and fire alarm systems. (I)

Disposition

8. Ability to work independently, using own initiative. (A, I)

9. Able to demonstrate impartiality. (I)

10. Able to calmly, in stressful situations, make decisions. (A, I)

15. No criminal convictions (Rehabilitation of Offenders Act). (A, I)

16. Must live onsite in accommodation provided on a service-tenancy basis. (I)

17. Able to negotiate stairs. (I)

18. Able to carry and lift cleaning materials. (I)
