A vacancy has arisen in the Landlord Services for the position of Purchasing and Stores Assistant. The successful applicant will work within a busy repair and maintenance service supporting the Purchasing and Stores Officer in the provision of a comprehensive and cost effective stores/purchasing service to meet the requirements of the authority and Landlord Services.
The position is varied with the successful candidate liaising with suppliers and purchasing consortia, as well as working closely with the Maintenance and Technical Officers aswell as the Building Trade operatives in the provision of a Repair and Maintenance Service to council tenants.
You will work with the Purchasing and Stores Officer to maintain stock balances, undertaking regular stock checks, together with the management of stock in/out of the service. Some manual work is involved.
