Lifeline provides a 24 hour response service to customers across Richmondshire by way of a dispersed alarm unit connected to a 24/7 call centre.

Mobile Wardens install equipment, provide a regular visiting service, liaise with other relevant agencies and take part in an on call rota 1 week in 4 for which an on call payment is made as are additional payments for attending call outs out of hours and at weekends.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with people.  We require someone who can, when needed, make decisions and remain calm in potentially stressful situations.  The successful candidate will need to be able to work alone and as part of a small team.  They must sensitive to the needs of others and flexible and adaptable as there may be times when they may be required to provide cover for their colleagues.

The post holder will be based in Barton and will cover the North Richmondshire area. A vehicle will be provided for them to undertake visits and call outs, therefore applicants must have a full manual driving licence and be available to be on call when required. Requirements placed upon the service mean that most call outs must have an on site attendance within 45 minutes from receipt of the call out request across the Richmondshire District.

Training will be provided relating to the installation and use of equipment.

Applicants must be able to lift and carry equipment, negotiate steps and use basic IT applications such as email and Microsoft word.
