1. City and Guilds building related qualification/HNC or equivalent. (A)

b. Formal Health and Safety qualification, i.e., IOSH. (A)


2. Relevant experience of a building/construction environment. (A)

3. Managing maintenance systems. (A)

4. Budgetary management control. (I)

5. Experience of leading and motivating team members to
achieve goals and service improvements. (I)

c. Presenting reports at committee level. (A)

d. Direct experience of providing a maintenance service
within the social housing sector. (A)

e. Consulting users regarding changes/developments
in services .(A)

f. Engaging with and managing contractors. (A)


6. Detailed knowledge of building construction/maintenance and the various trades involved. (A)

7. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation. (I)

8. Knowledge of Information Governance and Data Protection. (I)

9. Clear understanding of issues relating to best value and service provision. (I)

g. Establishing and monitoring performance standards and indicators. (I)
