Title: Income Management and Welfare Advice Officer

Salary: Grade 6 (SCP 18-20) £20,092 - £20,903 per annum pro rata

Contract Type: Permanent  

Working Pattern: Part time

Hours: 23 hpw

Role

This post has become available in Landlord Services.  The successful applicant will work closely with the Housing Management Officers to control and monitor rent arrears, taking appropriate enforcement action.  The post will also be required to work with and provide relevant welfare benefits advice to tenants, to ensure that all relevant benefits are being received, working closely with specialist advice agencies.  As well as being an important team member, the successful applicant will be able to work with minimum supervision and produce high levels of performance in sometimes stressful situations.  Previous experience would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will have a high level of IT literacy and should have a good standard of education.  Good communication skills, both written and verbal, together with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload are essential.
