Richmondshire District Council requires a Support Officer to join the Housing Options Team.

The Council’s Housing Options team provides a comprehensive, pro-active housing and homelessness assessment service in order to prevent or relieve homelessness across the district.

The newly created Support Officer post will provide support to the Housing Options team. You will be required to update documentation, case-tracking systems, run reports and provide information to public bodies and so it is important that the successful applicants have the ability to complete work to a high standard of accuracy and follow set procedures.

The Support Officer will monitor and track cases for further action and ensure customer engagement with personalised housing plans.

You will be highly organised and arrange to meet with Service users in order to obtain the required documentation needed to progress applications in line with strict deadlines.

Good administrative, organisational and IT skills are required as is an ability to listen and be sympathetic, often in stressful and emotional situations.

A valid UK driving licence is required for these posts. This post may be subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
