Title: Community Grant Scheme Administrator

Salary: RDC Grade 7 (SCP 21-24), £21,748-£23,541 per annum pro rata

Contract Type: Permanent 

Working Pattern: Part time

Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Administrator to join our small team delivering support to communities within the Richmondshire district.

This is an interesting and varied position working within a fast paced environment.   As the Community Funding Scheme Administrator, you will have direct interaction with community groups and parish councils etc seeking to submit an application into one of the Council’s Community Funding Schemes. Strong customer services skills, along with tact and diplomacy are an essential requirement of the post.  

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing advice and information to community groups who wish to apply for assistance under the Councils Community Investment Fund, Play Parks and Area Partnership’s Fund.  Along with administrating those schemes, you will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with scheme criteria, assessing applications, processing of grants and payments and monitoring outcomes.   

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, with a background in community grant funding.  The successful applicant will have the ability to work individually and as part of a team as well as being driven by the need to achieve targets and meet important deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • administration of council grant schemes to support the development of communities in the district by maintaining records and monitoring budget performance;
  • Liaising with applicants to provide advice and guidance;
  • Monitoring project outputs;
  • Promoting funding opportunities to target groups;
  • Maintaining accurate records

 

You will need a high level of computer literacy and be able to work with several programmes and databases.  You will have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate and concise information to strict deadlines.  We are looking for someone who is organised, flexible and resilient, with the ability to respond to pressure at peak times and work as part of a team.
