Review of polling districts and polling places consultation
Richmondshire District Council hereby gives notice the publication of the proposals on the Review of polling districts, polling places and polling stations including the Returning Officer’s proposals.
The aim of the review is to ensure:
- That all electors have reasonable and practicable facilities for voting
- That as far as is reasonable and practicable, polling places are accessible to all electors, including those who are disabled.
We would like to invite comments from electors within the District, regarding the polling stations currently used for elections and any suggestions for possible alternative venues.
We would also welcome any comments or representations from any local constituency political party, and any person or group who have a particular interest and/or expertise in access or facilities for people with any type of disability.
The Council is seeking representations from residents and interested organisations to give their views on whether they would support or wish to raise objections to the proposals.

The consultation period will last from 26 July until 13 September 2019.
