Draft Taxi and Private Hire Licensing Policy consultation
Our taxi and private hire licensing policy sets out the council’s general approach to regulating taxi and private hire services in the Richmondshire District. Our primary concern is public safety and, through this policy, we aim to both reduce potential risks associated with taxi and private hire services and provide transparency and consistency for anyone with an interest. Our existing policy was published in 2016 and following a recent review, we are now proposing changes to ensure it remains current.
We are now consulting on those changes and would really like to hear your views. After the consultation closes the council's Licensing Committee will consider all responses received and any other relevant information to decide whether to make any changes to the draft policy. We hope to publish a revised policy in June 2020. Closing date: Sunday 22 March 2020 at midnight.
