The Christmas Support Payment (CSP) is to support wet-led pubs (pubs that predominantly serve alcohol rather than food) that have been severely impacted over the Christmas period due to the temporary Tier 2 local restrictions from 2 to 29 December 2020.
Your pub may be eligible if you:
- are based in Richmondshire
- get less than 50% of your income from the sale of food
- were established in the pub before 1 December 2020
You will not be eligible for this grant if your business is in administration, insolvent or have a striking-off notice issued against it.

Eligible businesses may be entitled to a one off cash grant of £1,000.
The Christmas Support Payment can be paid to businesses in addition to any payments made under the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed).
Richmondshire District Council will exercise discretion to identify the right businesses to receive this funding based upon local knowledge and the evidence submitted by claimants.
We will not accept deliberate manipulation and fraud. Any business caught falsifying their records to gain grant money will face prosecution and any funding issued will be recovered. Funding may also be recovered for any grants paid in error.
