Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Scheme 2019-20

The Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Scheme 2019-20 is open for applications.

Businesses looking to appoint an apprentice to complete a Level 1-3 apprenticeship can apply for up to £2,000 towards the wages of their apprentice – with businesses taking on a higher level apprentice of 4 and above able to apply for £3,000. The next deadline for applications is May 31 2019 and further bids will be considered on a bi-monthly basis until the funding has been allocated in full.

Both the business and the apprentice must be based in Richmondshire and priority will be given to those looking to appoint an apprentice aged 16-24. Businesses should also have an annual turnover of less than £50m and fewer than 50 employees, with priority given to businesses with fewer than 20 employees.

Whilst the business may have already found the apprentice, the training must not start until after a decision has been reached.
