Apprenticeship Fact File
We understand that taking on your first apprentice can be a daunting experience if you don't know the process of how this will affect your business. We have therefore compiled the Apprenticeship Fact File document which can be downloaded via the link below. If you still have queries having read this document, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Scheme 2019-20
The Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Scheme 2019-20 is now open for applications with a pot of £22,000 to bid into.
Businesses looking to appoint an apprentice to complete a Level 1-3 apprenticeship can apply for up to £2,000 towards the wages of their apprentice – with businesses taking on a higher level apprentice of 4 and above able to apply for £3,000. The first deadline for applications is March 31, 2019 and further bids will be considered on a bi-monthly basis until the funding has been allocated in full.
Both the business and the apprentice must be based in Richmondshire and priority will be given to those looking to appoint an apprentice aged 16-24. They should also have an annual turnover of less than £50m and fewer than 50 employees, with priority given to businesses with fewer than 20 employees.
Whilst the business may have already found their apprentice, the training must not start until after a decision has been reached.
The application form and guidance can be downloaded below:
