Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Scheme 2019-23

The Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Scheme 2019-23 is open for applications. If you are considering employing an apprentice then apply as soon as possible within the deadline dates given below. 

If you wish to apply to the scheme please complete our online application form. The application includes eligibility criteria so please read through this carefully before applying. 

The funding is for new apprentices only. To be eligible for this funding scheme, the apprentice/s must not have started their training. The apprentice/s must only start their training once a funding offer letter is received through this scheme. Please note the deadline for applications and the decision making process is shown in the following table. Applications will only be approved after each deadline has passed. Businesses will have a three month deadline to employ an apprentice from the date of the offer letter. Please consider these dates when deciding apprenticeship start dates.

The Apprenticeship Hub

The Apprenticeship Hub’s team of friendly advisers are on hand, free of charge, to provide a wide range of support. This includes support on how to recruit an apprentice, choosing the right apprenticeship standard, finding the right provider, accessing available levy funds and incentives, and setting up and using the apprenticeship digital account.

The Apprenticeship Hub can also provide free support and training for leadership and management teams, and for pre-apprenticeship and wraparound support for apprentices. A range of bespoke training courses and qualifications delivered by expert skills providers are available.
