Cervical screening campaign
Richmondshire District Council are supporting the Screening Saves Lives Public Health England campaign to increase across England the number of women attending their cervical screening appointment. The campaign encourages women to respond to their cervical screening invitation letter, and if they missed their last screening, to book an appointment at their GP practice.
The service in Richmondshire is provided by Public Health South Tees. As part of the campaign a number of local businesses in Richmondshire have signed up to the Screen Stars reward scheme. At a smear test appointment the nurse will hand out a Screen Stars card to the patient. The individual then takes along the Screen Stars card to the relevant business to redeem an offer.
If you would like to sign your business up to this scheme or would like to find out more please contact email@example.com or Jo-Anne Simpson via email firstname.lastname@example.org. Further details about the scheme and a list of all those businesses currently signed up to it can be found on Middlesbrough Council's screen stars web page.
