Approved Suppliers
Richmondshire District Council does not hold a list of Approved Suppliers. Instead, the council uses contractors who are members of 'Construction Line' or who have been selected through purchasing consortiums, such as Yorkshire Purchasing.
As most local authorities apply similar criteria, the Councils in the Yorkshire and Humberside region are considering how they might establish a single process for the management of Approved Supplier lists. It is hoped that this will enable a single application by a company to be considered for all twenty-two Councils in the region through a single contract management system.
