New shared senior management
arrangements between Richmondshire District Council and Hambleton
District Council came into effect in May 2009.
The Chief Executive is:
- Head of Paid Service and the
principal advisor
- provides overarching managerial
leadership
- takes strategic decisions in the
context of the role
- influences other partners’
decision making with whom the Council has strategic
relationships.
The Executive Director / Deputy Chief
Executive role is:
- as a member of the Management Team,
working with the Chief Executive to provide corporate leadership
and strategic direction, to develop and deliver the vision and
objectives of the Council and the wider Community Plan
lead officer and sponsor for a portfolio of strategic and corporate
policy areas, projects and initiatives, to achieve top performance,
economy, efficiency and effectiveness across the portfolio in
support of the Council’s objectives.
Supporting the Senior Management team
are a shared Assistant Chief Executive and six Assistant
