We are here to help you on all aspects of Richmondshire District
Council services including the completion of forms,
advice with enquiries about any service including housing
benefits, housing, planning applications, council tax and many
more.
We will also ring other organisations on your behalf.
We can take your photograph and details for your bus
pass.

We also display a large selection of leaflets and forms
belonging to various organisations and information regarding
forthcoming local events.
You can view agendas for council meetings.
You can make payments for the following RDC
items:
- Rent
- Council tax
- Non-Domestic rates
- RDC invoices
- Car parking fines
- Lifeline Scheme
- Purchase your yearly RDC parking permit
- Licencing fees
- Planning fees
- Excess refuse charges
Collect or/Hand In:
- Benefit Forms
- Housing Forms
We are able to scan original documents for claims and send
them directly to the Benefits team.
Richmond Community Office has a benefits officer and a housing
options officer on site to advise you with any queries.
We also keep copies of current and recent planning applications,
which are available for public viewing.
Richmond Community Office has a planning officer on site to advise
you on any planning matters (outside the National Park area).
Alternate Weekly Collection:
You can call into the Community Office to collect a replacement
blue paper recycling bag or green box.
We also sell biodegradable green refuse sacks for excess garden
refuse.
We will be happy to deal with all your queries regarding the
alternate weekly collection scheme.

Richmond Community Office is proud to work in partnership with a
number of organisations.

Key House:
We have a working relationship with Key House, the housing
charity.
Key House are able to offer advice on all aspects of housing
including tenancy rights, landlord mediation, availability of
housing in Richmondshire and many other
issues.
A specialist housing adviser will be available to anyone who wants
to know what their housing rights are, with the ultimate aim of
preventing homelessness.

Mon, Wed, Fri 10am - 1pm and a Money Advice Line, which covers debt
and welfare benefits on 01845 525303 Mon 10am - 4pm, Thur 10am -
8pm, Fri 10am - 1pm and Sat 10am - 12 noon.
Citizens Advice Bureau:
The Citizens Advice Bureau are here on Wednesdays for debt
advice by appointment only.
To make an appointment, please telephone 08444 111 444.
Lines are open 9.30am-4.00pm weekdays (and until 4.30pm Tues and
between 5.30pm-6.00pm Wed)
The local CAB centre has drop-in sessions every Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday from 9.15am - 10.15am.
