What is the Census

The Census is a count of all people and households in the UK and is taken every 10 years.  The last Census took place in April 2001 and you or someone in your household will have filled in a questionnaire.

The Census provides information to help the District Council plan and fund public services.  Information on many subjects from population to employment is collected.
