Business Waste Handbook
This handbook has been developed to help businesses in
Richmondshire save money - by cutting waste. It provides
specific information and tips for offices, and businesses involved
in catering, construction, retail, leisure and tourism, printing
and manufacturing.
All businesses create waste: from office paper and off-cuts of
wood to plastic wrappers and unwanted food. The Business Waste
Handbook provides information on how to save money by managing this
waste better. See the
Business Resource Efficiency fact sheet for how this could help
your business.
The handbook gives advice on reducing both the amount of waste
created and materials needing to be bought, reusing materials and
recycling as much as possible, as well as waste audits and a guide
to legislation.
There is a list of organisations which can provide further
information, guidance and funding to help businesses make changes
and reduce their waste disposal costs.
