Richmondshire District Council offers a range of flexible, "family friendly" supportive employment initiatives and working arrangements, aimed at creating a positive working environment in which motivated, well trained employees are able to work to their full potential and achieve a healthy work/life balance.

Richmondshire District Council has a number of options for working flexibly to accommodate the different needs and commitments that individuals might have. However, whilst these options are, in principle, available to all employees the needs of the service are obviously important and some options simply may not be operationally practical for certain jobs.
