Car Parks and Annual Permits
The following car parks are provided by Richmondshire District
Council:
Short Stay
Victoria Road North and Victoria Road South - Richmond
Maximum stay 2 consecutive hours in any one day
Parking charge £0.50 for up to 30 minutes
£1.50 for up to 2 hours
Medium Stay
The Fosse - Richmond
Maximum stay 4 consecutive hours in any one day
Parking charge £0.50 for up to 30
minutes
£1.50 for up to 2 hours
£2.50 for up to 4 hours
Long Stay
Nuns Close, Yorke Square and Round Howe - Richmond
Station Road - Richmond (ONLY available for public use on
Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays)
Leyburn
Hawes – (Gayle Lane)
Muker
Langthwaite – Arkengarthdale
All day parking
Parking charge £0.50 for up to 30
minutes
£1.50 for up to 2 hours
£2.50 for up to 4 hours
£3.50 all day
Parking Permits
Weekly permits are available for £10 from the pay and display
machines at any of the above car parks. These permits are valid for
7 days and are valid in all the Council's car parks subject to
local restrictions.
The annual car parking permit cost is £45.00, however the cost
reduces quarterly as follows:
1 July -
£33.75
1 October - £22.50
1 January - £11.25
The permit is valid until 31 March, can be used in all the
Council's car parks, subject to local restrictions, and can be
purchased at any of the Council's Community Offices at:
Zetland Square, Dundas Street, Richmond
Central Chambers, Leyburn
The Broadway, Colburn
Community Resource Centre, The Neukin, Hawes
Hudson House, Anvil Square, Reeth

Private Car Parks
Car parks within a Richmondshire District Council
geographic area which are owned and operated by private companies.
The local authority ensures that they operate in accordance with
authority parking policies.
