Fixed Penalty Notices
In accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990
Richmondshire District Council issues £80 Fixed Penalty Notices
(reduced to £60 if paid within 10 days) for the offence of leaving
litter. The Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act
2005 extends the definition of litter to include chewing gum
and cigarette butts.
