Keep Britain Tidy is launching The Big Tidy Up, the country's
biggest ever litter tidy up. Richmondshire District Council have
signed up to be a part of this national campaign and would like
suggestions of particular areas that may benefit from a Big Tidy Up
and volunteers to take part.
The aim is you undertake as many ‘Tidy Up’ operations as part of
community projects throughout September.
Richmondshire District Council will provide all litter picking equipment and safety wear and remove all waste that has been collected. You can read about a similar scheme we ran earlier this year to clear up Richmond's skate park.
Lots of other organisations are also hosting tidy up sessions - you can use the campaign's map to find others near you.
For more information, to suggest a part of Richmondshire that might benefit from a tidy up, or to volunteer, contact either Gill Roberts or Sally Sutherland on 01748 827169 or 01748 827173.
