Fixed Penalty Notices
In accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990
Richmondshire District Council issues £50 Fixed Penalty Notices for
the offence of leaving litter. The Clean Neighbourhoods and
Environment Act 2005 extends the definition of litter to
include chewing gum and cigarette butts.
Education
Richmondshire District Council run Educational and
Promotional Campaigns to highlight the importance of keeping
Richmondshire clean.
