
Changes to legislation mean that some household items are now classed as hazardous waste. These items are:-
- TV's
- Computer Monitor
- Fluorescent Tubes
- Fridges
- Freezers
If these items are being collected as a bulky collection then there will be an additional charge of £5 per hazardous item.
Local residents may also take hazardous waste to any NYCC
Household Waste Recycling Centre and give it to the
attendant. Private waste contractors will deal with hazardous
and special waste arising from a trade or business.
