Supporting people is a national programme of funding from the
Government, which pays for housing-related support services to help
people live independently in the community.
Supporting People pays for a variety of different services in
your own home, or in supported accommodation like a hostel, refuge
or sheltered housing
Examples of where we have benefited from Supporting People
funding are:
- The new Extra Care Facility which is in Bainbridge
- Lifeline
- sheltered housing for older people
- temporary accommodation for the homeless
- housing related support for homeless and vulnerable households
- housing support for young people
- housing support for people fleeing domestic violance.
