Insurance
The Council's building insurance covers the Council houses it
still owns, flats it has sold on longterm leases and garages. But
as a tenant you are responsible for insuring the contents, such as
your belongings and furniture.
If you would like to make a claim on the Council's insurance
then you should write to the Housing Unit at:
Housing Unit
Richmondshire District Council
Frenchgate House
Frenchgate
Richmond
North Yorkshire
DL10 7AF
If you have any other loss or damage to property, or had an
accident which you feel The Council is responsible for and would
like to make a claim then you should write to the Finance Unit
at:
Finance Unit
Richmondshire District Council
Frenchgate House
Frenchgate
Richmond
North Yorkshire
DL10 7AF
In your letter you should give as much detail as possible
including what happened, when and why. We will write to you telling
you we have received your letter and explaining that we will
investigate your claim and if necessary, we will pass it on to our
insurance company.
