Smokefree Legislation        

 
The Government has introduced the Health Act 2006 which came into force in England on 1 July 2007.
 
One of the main provisions of the Act is to prohibit smoking in the workplace and enclosed public spaces.
 
Environmental Health staff visit premises covered by the legislation to ensure compliance with the law.
 
If members of the public have complaints about premises not complying with the smoke free legislation they should contact
