Artificial light can cause a statutory nuisance when it
affects the use of a person's property or is prejudicial to their
health.
Examples of light nuisance which Richmondshire District
Council can investigate include domestic and commercial security
lights. The legislation does not enable us to invesitgate nuisance
from streetlights or most sports facilities.
