The United Kingdom School of Food Science has provided a
postal course in Basic Food Hygiene with certificate (EEC Level
One) since 1992. In 2002 an Intermediate hygiene and HACCP
certificate course were made available.
Local authorities recognise these
courses for licensing the meat trade and for all food
handlers.
The courses, which cover the
recommendations of the CIEHO and RSH, were commended for ease of
understanding.
