The Council has worked in consultation with English Nature,
NFU, The Dales Park Authority, Northern Mine Research Society,
English Heritage, British Geological Survey, and The Environment
Agency to produce the updated strategy. The document will also be
of interest to many other organisations, landowners who may be
affected by contamination of their land from historical industry,
such as old mineral mines, redundant landfill sites and disused gas
works, as well as people interested in past uses of the local
environment.
