In accordance with the Environmental
Protection Act 1990 the Council can investigate a range
of complaints about nuisance. These include:
- Drainage problems
- Dust
- Filthy and verminous premises
- Insects
- Light
- Noise complaints such as barking dogs or noise from pubs
- Radon
- Smells
- Statutory Nuisance such as accumulations of rubbish
There are a number of areas where the law does not allow us to
take action. These include traffic noise from aircraft, trains and
road vehicles.
