Environmental Services - Out of Hours
Emergencies
Whilst the Council does not provide a 24 hour/365 day operation for
environmental services, it does have an out of hours service for
emergencies.
Examples of what may be considered to be an emergency are:
- A fatality or serious accident in the workplace
- An outbreak of food poisoning.
This service is provided through an agency - Ryecare, who can
be contacted on 01653 690738.
The following are examples of what is not considered to be an
emergency:
Pest control requests
Noise complaints
Nuisance complaints
Details of these calls would be noted by Ryecare and passed to
the Council for action during the normal working week.
A separate out of hours service is provided for Council house
tenants who have emergency housing repairs. This service is
available by contacting the same Ryecare number 01653 690738.
