Local Development Scheme

Skip main content Skip main content
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out a timetable for the preparation of the Local Development Framework (LDF).  The current LDS was approved by Government Office Yorkshire and Humber (GOYH) in March 2007.  We have revised this to take account of legislative changes and the need for further work on our Core Strategy.

The Council approved a revised LDS, which recommends that we focus on the Core Strategy and
the delivery of development and change in the Garrison area.  It is expected that an Area Action Plan is developed covering the area including the the Catterick Garrison main site and surrounding villages.  This revised approach is subject to approval by Government Office.

Additional Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) are not proposed at this stage.

We will publish a full timetable and consultation strategy once this is finalised.
