Local Development Framework Structure

When completed Richmondshire's LDF will will comprise the following parts, listed below. At the moment we are working on the Core Strategy:

The Local Development Scheme (LDS): a project plan, agreed by the Secretary of State, that sets out the Council's programme for work on the preparation of the LDF.
Statement of Community Involvement (SCI): sets out how the Council will involve the community during the production of the LDF.
Core Strategy: will set out the overarching spatial vision and objectives for the LDF.
The Garrison Area Action Plan (AAP): will set out how the area around Colburn, Scotton, Hipswell and Catterick Garrison could develop.
Sustainability Appraisal and Habitats Regulations Assessment: an assessment of the effects of proposed Strategies and Plans on social, environmental and economic conditions and their contribution to sustainable development.
Annual Monitoring Report: sets out progress on the preparation and monitoring of the LDF.
LDF Evidence Base: the studies and assessments carried out to inform emerging LDF policies.
