Local Development Framework
The Local Development Framework (LDF) will help shape the
future development of Richmondshire outside of the National
Park. LDF's were introduced by the 2004 Planning and
Compulsory Purchase Act and will replace existing
local plans, which will remain in force
until LDF documents are approved and adopted by the Council.
The LDF will be a set of individual policy and advisory
documents, designed to make development plans adaptable to changing
circumstances. When completed Richmondshire's LDF will
comprise the following parts, listed below.
We are working on the LDF
Core
Strategy. The Core Strategy will set out the overall direction
for future development in the Richmondshire Plan Area.
