The Local Development Framework (LDF) will help shape the
future development of Richmondshire outside of the National
Park.
LDF's were introduced by the 2004 Planning and Compulsory
Purchase Act and require all local planning authorities to
replace their existing local plans. Local Plans will remain in
force until the LDF is approved and adopted by the Council.
LDF Structure:
The LDF will be a set of individual policy and advisory
documents. This approach is designed to enable
development plans to respond more quickly to changing
circumstances.
Latest LDF Consultation:
We are currently consulting on a range of issues and options
to help us develop the LDF Core Strategy
