Consultation by North Yorkshire Planning Authorities on a Revised Local List for Validation of Planning Applications

A group of the North Yorkshire Planning Authorities comprising the City of York Council, Craven District Council, Hambleton District Council, North Yorkshire County Council, Richmondshire District Council, Ryedale District Council, Scarborough Borough Council and Selby District Council are currently consulting on revisions to their joint Local List for validation of applications.  These Authorities produced and adopted a joint Local Validation List in 2008 and have recently undertaken a joint review of that list.

The local list informs applicants/agents of the requirements for all types of applications submitted to each of the above Authorities under the Town and Country Planning Acts.  National, regional, and sub-regional consultees in the planning process along with other adjoining Local Planning Authorities are currently being consulted on the revised documents and separate local consultation exercises are also being carried out within each Authority area.

A second stage of consultation is now taking place on these documents which have been revised and agreed following initial consultation with national, regional and sub-regional consultees in the planning process.  Local consultees who have now been invited by each Council to comment on the above documents should respond directly to your local Council by no later than Friday 25 February 2011.  All comments received will be considered by the group of Authorities before publishing the final document in the spring.  The adopted documents will then guide the validation process for all applications made to the Authorities.
