Meetings of the Strategic Forum

The Role of the Forum

The role of the Hambleton and Richmondshire Strategic Forum is to adopt the Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) of each District and co-ordinate the actions of the public, private, voluntary and community sectors to implement the Community Strategies.   The forum strategically aligns and integrates the plans, partnerships and initiatives within Richmondshire and Hambleton ensuring that there are no overlaps and there is a focussed approach to key issues that the Forum has highlighted e.g. Broadband. The Forum monitors progress and achievements against actions and targets contained within the community plans and works together with the  Area Partnerships and Task & Finish Groups to achieve this.  All of these objects aim to ensure that the local authorities and other statutory bodies are supported in improving public services to meet the communities' needs and aspirations.
