We, as a local authority, have a duty to work to improve the
economic, social and environmental well-being of our communities -
your quality of life.
However, we cannot do this alone. We recognise that
we need to work in partnership with other public service providers
(such as the County Council, Primary Care Trust, Yorkshire Dales
National Park Authority and North Yorkshire Police), local
people, businesses and the voluntary and community sectors to
achieve our vision for the district - for Richmondshire to be a
place where people will want to live, work and visit; where people
enjoy a high quality of life and environment, feel safe, healthy
and prosperous and have the opportunity to reach their full
potential.
