Richmondshire residents are invited to
a free workshop on saving water next week at Catterick Garrison
Library.
Organised by the St John’s Centre it is part
of their work as they compete in The ‘Green Neighbourhood
Challenge’ to live more sustainably - they had their carbon
footprint measured before they started and are aiming to achieve an
11% by the end of 2011. The winners will earn the title
‘North Yorkshire’s ‘Greenest Neighbourhood Team’ and receive £500
worth of goods for a local environmental project.
The event on August 24 at 2pm will show how to
save money by saving water – everyone attending will get a free
water saving pack and chance to win a water butt.
